marvelous luminosity

So, right now I am reading Dan Poynter's self-publishing manual. I figure the theory is the same whether you are publishing yourself or publishing others, right? I don't know, but I'm going to keep telling myself it was a good place to start.

I don't know how I feel about good ole Dan. I don't think the book is very well designed, and he keeps telling me to look at his book for examples of good design. Blegh. And sometimes he sounds kind of shady. But I don't feel like getting into that right now.

It's a good introduction. The sections about promoting the book dampered my enthusiasm only a little bit.
